How do I set up my account in Outlook Express?

Welcome to the Outlook Express e-mail set up tutorial. Here is a step by step guide to setting up your Amenworld POP email account.

  1. Open Outlook Express.
  2. Click the Tools menu and select Accounts
  3. Click Add then Mail

  4. Type what you would like to appear in the From: field E.g. John Smith and click Next.

  5. Type your full email address then click Next.

  6. Choose POP3 then type pop3.domain.co.uk for the Incoming mail and smtp.domain.co.uk for the Outgoing e-mail server
    (Please replace domain.co.uk with your own domain name)

  7. Type your full email address in the Account name field and your password for this email address.

  8. You have successfully configured your email account on Outlook Express! Click Finish to complete the wizard.

  9. Highlight the account we have just created e.g. pop3.domain.co.uk and click on Properties.

  10. Click the Servers tab. Tick My server requires authentication.

  11. Click the Settings button and select Use same settings as my incoming mail server.

  12. Click OK then Apply to finish.
