How to add an additional IP address in Windows

To make use of the additional IP addresses that have been assigned to your dedicated server, you will have to add the IP addresses from Remote Desktop.

If you use Plesk, the connection to the server might be cut.

Once you have established a Remote Desktop connection to your server do the following:

1. Login and open your Control Panel
2. Open Network Connections then choose the Local Area Network
3. Choose Properties
4. Double click on TCP/IP
5. Click on the Advanced button
6. Click on Add button in the IP Addresses section to add one IP at a time.
7. Add the IP. Beware of the netmask, normally 255.255.255.0
8. Click Add
9. Click OK until you reach the desktop
10. Ping the new installed IP, this IP should work now.

Repeat the process with any other IP addresses made available to you.
