How to setup Subdomains

[edit] How to setup Subdomains

  1. Click on Pl_btn_subdomains_bg.gif Subdomains
  2. Click on Pl_btn_subdomain-new_bg.gif Add New Subdomain
  3. You will be presented with the following options:
    • Subdomain - Enter the subdomain you wish for your domain.
    • SSL support - To allow the domain to use Secure Sockets Layer encryption.
    • Use a single directory for housing SSL and non-SSL content - With this optioned ticked you can place the secure content of your website in one folder.
    • FTP User - You can either use the existing FTP login details that you have for the domain, or create a new set specifically for this subdomain.
    • FTP Login* - Enter the login you would require to access your webspace for this domain.
    • Old FTP password - If you already have the hosting setup enter your existing password.
    • New FTP password - Enter a password of your choice, this will be used to access the webspace for this domain.
    • Confirm password - Repeat password that you entered above.
    • Hard disk quota - Specify the amount of disk space in megabytes allocated to the web space for this site.
  4. Select the choice of languages you wish to activate for this subdomain.
  5. Click OK to complete setup for this subdomain.
  Please note that you will need to create and point the above subdomain to your server
