[edit] Inroduction

Plesk is provided as a control panel on Amen Prowin, Private and Dedicated Server packs. With Plesk you have an easy to use Graphical User Interface (GUI), which allows you to manage your Server, this is achieved by utilising the variety of tools on offer, these are explained below.

[edit] Client Account

To setup a domain within Plesk upon first login you will need to first setup a Client account. There are 4 types of accounts you may have:

  • Admin account: This is the default account for managing the server, accessing the Plesk control panel using this account will give you control over all aspects of the interface. It is provided as default on purchase of a product and cannot be deleted.
  • Client Account: This account is ideal if you intend to act as a reseller or host numerous domains.
  • Domain administrator account: This account can be created by a reseller for a user after their domain has been added to Plesk for hosting. This account will be limited to one domain.
  • E-Mail user account: This account can be provided by a Domain administrator for users with mail hosting under the corresponding domain.

In Web Pro Windows packs, your login will be that of a domain administrator account, because Plesk is already set up for your domain, so you will not be able to do some of the operations described below.
